Lady Chandra Bell is a native of Columbus, Ohio where she and her two brothers and three sisters were lovingly raised and nurtured by their mother Earlene Johnson. She came to know the Lord at an early age and has faithfully been in His service every since.

Lady Chandra is a Counselor in The Advising and Counseling Office at Columbus State Community College. She is licensed by the State of Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor. Lady Chandra has five years of experience in mental health, career, and educational counseling. Her counseling experience also expands into administration, consultation, diagnosis and treatment of mental and emotional disorders.

Chandra has earned an Associate of Applied Science, Social Service Technology Degree from Columbus State Community College. She has also earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. Chandra went on to obtain a Master of Science in Education degree at the University of Dayton, as well as completing post masters clinical coursework.

Currently, Lady Chandra also serves as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Dayton and teaches Counseling Techniques Lab in the Graduate School of Education. She has participated in the prestigious Kaleidoscope Leadership Institute which promotes development and diversity in higher education.

Prior to her career in higher education, Chandra worked over eight years in the financial industry in various leadership capacities at The Huntington National Bank and BISYS Fund Services.

Lady Chandra has designed, written and conducted career workshops for women at The Center for New Directions. Chandra has completed internships at various community social service agencies, Columbus Area Inc, Pathways, The Rosemont Center, and Franklin County Children’s Service.

Chandra’s career goals for the future include obtaining a Ph.D. in Higher Education and securing a cabinet level management position at a local institution of higher learning. She also plans to develop a holistic career and mental health counseling ministry for persons at risk.

Lady Chandra has over fifteen years of service in the ministry of the church. She has served as a ministry leader with the Young Disciples Youth Ministry and is a member of the leadership council for the “Sisters in the Spirit” Women’s Ministry where she provided oversight to several ministry teams. Lady Chandra has served as the Secretary on the Board of the New Beginnings Christian Revitalization Corporation. She has served as a member of the City Wide Women of Unity Committee and has participated in facilitating numerous ministry activities. Lady Chandra participated in the launch of the B.O.D.Y. Life Small Groups Ministry and was an active part in establishing small groups at First Church of God.

Chandra is the proud wife of Pastor Vaughn Bell and mother to Sierra (deceased), Sydney and Kyndall.
